
Kevin Hinckley, M.Ed LPC, is a Licensed Counselor in private practice. He received his Masters Degree in Counseling, from Brigham Young University, in 1985, with a minor in Organizational behavior. Since that time, he has managed inpatient programs specializing in addictions, adolescents and trauma recovery. He is also an experienced Ropes Course facilitator.
He is an annual presenter at Campus Education Week at BYU-Idaho as well at BYU in Provo.
Kevin has worked with the LDS Addiction Recovery Program and is the author of
The NaamanProject, a 6 Week outpatient program dedicated to healing pornography addictions. Based on the Old Testament story of Naaman, this program is designed to work with 'men of valor', who struggle with a 'spiritual leprosy'--pornography addiction. A member of the Board of Directors of ANTHEM, a non-profit organization dedicated to building stronger marriages and families in North Texas, Kevin continues to look for innovative ways to help parents with the challenges of raising families in uncertain times.
He has authored two books,
Parenting the Strong-Willed Child and Burying our Swords, both published by Deseret Book in 2008. A third book,
Promptings or Me is scheduled to be in bookstores in July, 2010.
Kevin and his wife Cindy are the parents of four children and five grandchildren, along with one really obnoxious cat.
